We walked around a bit and then entered the old farm. The owners were in the kitchen, busy preparing dinner for tonight, but they enthusiastically welcomed us the second we stepped through the door. The smell coming from the kitchen was so good that we immediately decided to join them for dinner. Spacious, modern bathroom and very clean. Every guest can join for dinner. They try to cook as much as possible with local products and preferably with vegetables from their own garden, The vegetables used in our meals (tomatoes and courgette) were harvested in their own garden as well. It was truly delicious! The dinner consisted of three courses and included an appetizer as well. After dinner, we talked a bit with the owners. It turned out that Peter, our host, had been a professional cook back in the days. That explained why the food was so extraordinary tasteful. We were surprised by the amount of choice we had for breakfast. A whole table was full of fresh products like fruit, bread, croissants, juices, cheese, ham and so on. I had a hard time choosing what to eat. Although Peter had been a professional cook, his wife (Su) has a true talent herself: the yoghurt served at breakfast is homemade by her! The milk used to make the yoghurt is bought from a local farmer and Su then turns it into amazing yoghurt with a lot of taste. The yoghurt is then divided over several glass jars and completed with some muesli or strawberries from their garden. Delicious! We made ourselves a cup of coffee and enjoyed our breakfast in the greenhouse with the sunrise warming our faces up.
